Clinical psychologists treat people with relatively serious kinds of psychological distress, like depression or anxiety disorders. They hold Master’s Degrees in Clinical Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
I am a forensic and clinical psychologist, specializing in custody assessments, divorce mediation and parenting plans. I have several years of training both locally as well in the UK. I endeavor to always treat parents with the utmost respect and support families during times of difficult and often traumatic transition.
I also provide family and couples therapy as well as psychotherapy for adults, focusing on difficulties within relationships and personality disorder as well as other psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, trauma and childhood history of abuse.
I use an eclectic style of therapy but with a main focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy, systemic family therapy and schema therapy. The style of therapy is always a joint decision between client and therapist.
