I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Counsel of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). After completing my Bachelors and Honours degrees in psychology I qualified as a Registered Trauma Counsellor and worked at the Open Door Crisis Care Centre and in private practice. I then obtained my Master's degree in Social Science (Clinical Psychology) from the University of KwaZulu Natal in Pietermartizburg.
I completed my internship at the Durban Hospital Complex Department of Behavioural Medicine which included rotations at King Edward Hospital, Addington Hospital and King DiniZulu Hospital. I did my year of Community Service at G J Crookes Hospital in Scottburgh where my work focused on managing and treating in patients and out patients in both the hospital and rural clinic settings.
In addition to running my private practice in Morningside, I also provide therapeutic and assessment services at the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit at Life Entabeni Hospital for inpatients who have suffered a traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and other complex medical conditions.
