Clinical psychologists treat people with relatively serious kinds of psychological distress, like depression or anxiety disorders. They hold Master’s Degrees in Clinical Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
In addition to offering scholastic assessments to children and career psychometric assessments to adolescents and young adults, my main area of interest is treating various psychological and psychiatric conditions where there is a component of emotional dysregulation.
These include disorders such as bipolar, anxiety, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders and borderline personality disorder.
I use various psychotherapeutic approaches such as dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT).
