Counselling psychologists treat people dealing with normal life challenges, such as the loss of a job or divorce. They hold Master’s Degrees in Counselling Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
There are times in all our lives when we find it difficult to cope. Whether it is because we have experienced something that is traumatic (such as crime or the death of a loved one) or simply because we are struggling to adjust to life changes (such as relationship and family difficulties). It's at these times that talking to a psychologist can help you develop better insight into your challenges and more effective ways of coping.
I am passionate about facilitating the journey to well-being and helping people find solutions that work for them.
In order to do this I am dedicated to tailoring therapy around my client's needs. I typically draw from the following therapeutic approaches: * Cognitive Behavioural Therapy * Solution Focussed Therapy * Psychodynamic Psychotherapy * Transactional Analysis (Structural) * Conversational Hyponosis
