Counselling psychologists treat people dealing with normal life challenges, such as the loss of a job or divorce. They hold Master’s Degrees in Counselling Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
I am a counselling psychologist specializing in psychotherapy – while some psychologists choose to focus on individual therapeutic issues, I prefer to focus on therapy as a whole. This allows me to deal with each individual client as a whole, rather than hyper-focusing on one small element.
I follow an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on four well-known types of therapy (REBT, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Imago therapy) to provide the best fit for each client I work with. My approach to therapy stems from the belief that every individual is shaped by forces outside of their control, but holds within them the potential to remould themselves to fit the future they envision for themselves.
Outside of therapeutic work, I also conduct career assessments, psycho-educational assessments, and personality assessments.
Appointments are taken between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
