Counselling psychologists treat people dealing with normal life challenges, such as the loss of a job or divorce. They hold Master’s Degrees in Counselling Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
I am a Counselling Psychologist practising in Umhlanga Rocks.
I work with a Narrative background and believe that all individuals possess the psychological, social and emotional skills to confront life’s challenges and that therapy acts to excavate these skills to enhance personal functioning and optimise wellness.
I work with children, adolescents and adults individually, but also have a special interest in couples and family therapy. Therapy is tailored according to each client’s unique and specific concerns to enhance the coping strategies they already possess. My aim is to journey with clients toward improved wellness that is sustainable beyond the completion of the therapy process.
I offer cognitive assessments to children aged 3 to 16 years, and have a particular interest in developmental delays and learning difficulties. I also offer career assessments to young adults and school-going adolescents.
I am an accredited Family Mediator (South African Association of Mediators) and assist families with Divorce settlements, Contact and Care Agreements, Parenting plans and Maintenance plans.
