I am a registered counselling psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and qualified through the University of Pretoria. I provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families to assist with various challenges. I was trained in a range of therapeutic approaches including; narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), client-centered, as well as solution-focused therapy. I completed my internship at The Family Life Centre situated in Parkwood. During my internship, I worked at a school within a community conducting group and child therapy sessions. At the Rahima Moosa Hospital I conducted psycho-educational assessments. During my internship I assisted children, adolescents, adults, couples and families through various life challenges. Academically, I have lectured at Pearson Institute of Higher Learning in areas of psychopathology and trauma and treatment. As a therapist I aim to provide my clients a safe and supportive space that will allow them to express themselves therefore leading to an understanding of their life challenges. My experiences in various different settings such as schools, hospitals and the corporate sector has shown me the enormous value of self-insight and self-awareness and how these values can have a positive impact on the development of overcoming life challenges.
