For many clients, choosing to come to therapy can be anxiety provoking and quite hard to tolerate. Actually, the biggest challenge about therapy is to remain in it to overcome the high levels of anxiety and to learn to tolerate one's own levels of discomfort. Once that is achieved the desired outcomes are so much clearer and within reach.

I work with individuals who are interested in overcoming trauma, self-destructive behaviours (e.g. addictions), relationships problems, past traumatic events that seem to spill over present day living, anxiety (especially panic attacks, performance anxiety), complicated bereavement, anger issues, and depression. I am trained in relationship counselling and have assisted couples in learning to increase their connection and resolve their marital difficulties.

Because of my training in career counselling I also offer psychometric assessment, career guidance, report writing, and academic management (e.g. learning strategies, improving performance, study skills and exam preparation and managing academic anxiety).

In my practice I rely on the following approaches: Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma and Encounter-centered Couples Therapy (developed by Hedy Schleifer).
