Educational psychologists work with children and adolescents, assisting in their psychological adjustment and development. They operate within the contexts of family, school, peer groups and communities, and are able to conduct and interpret scholastic and psychometric tests. They hold Master’s Degrees in Educational Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
I am an Educational psychologist in private practice with my current focus being on assessment with children from birth to 16 years, 11 months (psycho-educational, school readiness and developmental). I currently have over 10 years of experience in psychotherapy and assessment, through training and professional practice. I am registered with the Health Professions Counsil of South Africa and the Board of Health Care Funders.
My psychotherapeutic and assessment experience ranges from, NGO's, primary and high schools and private practice as well as lecturing in a tertiary institute.
I have experience in child and adolescent psychotherapy as well as parenting psychotherapy. I have also been involved in training counselling courses and giving workshops to teachers and pupils at schools as well as giving talks on various issues.
