Rebecca’s passion for Occupational Therapy and specifically Sensory Integration first developed when she volunteered as a swimming coach at a special needs school in Dubai. She saw the great impact that Occupational Therapy had on the children there and knew that this was the career she wanted to pursue.
Rebecca has worked in private practice in the area of Sensory Integration since completing her studies at the University of Cape Town and her community service year in the rural Northern Cape. Working in private practice has given Rebecca the opportunity to establish strong therapeutic relationships with the children and families that she works with. This is something Rebecca is grateful for and that she places great value on.
Rebecca’s special interests lie in early intervention (children between two and five), as well as the Autism Spectrum. Rebecca is a Makaton communicator.
Rebecca is the practice manager for Tokai Occupational Therapy.
