One of my favourite quotes is by Hycner and Jacobs … "The human heart yearns for contact … each of us ... yearns to be … recognised in our uniqueness, our fullness and our vulnerability."

I specialise in supportive counselling for trauma, bereavement, anxiety, crisis management, couples, children, low self-esteem, loss of enjoyment or meaning in life, and more.

I work with children, adolescents and adults, and have rooms in Parkwood and Sandton. I also offer online and telephonic counselling.

I have worked in counselling since 2005 and have been in private practice since 2010.

My training is varied and has included Person-centred, Psychodynamic, Jungian, Narrative and Gestalt approaches. I have experience in both art and play therapy and I am interested in creative approaches to counselling.

I have extensive experience in the NGO sector and have worked at The Art Therapy Centre, Lifeline, and Abraham Kriel Maria Kloppers Children’s Home. I have also been affiliated to ICAS and conducted corporate trauma debriefings with them for many years. I continue to do this work on my own.

My full services include:

  • Supportive Counselling for adults, adolescents and children
  • Trauma Counselling for individuals and groups
  • Bereavement and Grief Counselling
  • Couple and relationship counselling
  • Art as a medium of therapy for all ages
  • Play as a medium of therapy for children
  • Personal growth
  • Strengthening self esteem
  • Parent guidance for dealing with the challenges of parenting
