I qualified as social worker in 1995 and started working at Alberton Child Welfare. After 5 years I left social work and worked in the corporate world for a few years. The profession called me back and I then worked at St George’s Children’s Home for almost 2 years. After that I was at Elim Clinic Professional Treatment Centre for Addiction for 6 years. The next 5 years were at Icas (employee wellness service provider).
I registered my private practice in 2005 already. I built it up by working in the evenings after my full-time work and over weekends. I have an absolute passion for helping people heal and I love seeing how people walk out of my office with a smile and full of hope.
I believe we all need a therapist now and then. This does not mean being in therapy forever – just to check in now and then for support. And I also believe we can get very far in life with the right skills and self-help techniques.
