Social workers work with individuals, as well as families and communities, to develop treatment plans for people with mental health problems. They may work either in private practice or in collaboration with other healthcare professions. They hold Bachelor’s of Arts Degrees and are registered with the South African Council for Service Professions.
Alongside my private work with adults, I have 10 years of direct experience working with adolescents, including research and insight into problems facing teenagers.
A registered Clinical Social Worker I work from a Client-Centred Approach but I also adopt a wide array of therapeutic techniques to best suit the needs of individual clients.
I am passionate about my work and am continually furthering my experience and knowledge. I have written a number of articles for a teenage magazine and have run numerous parent workshops.
I offer tailored Individual Counselling, Couple Counselling, Parental Guidance and Bereavement Counselling, as well as Adolescent and Child social work.
Through counselling, each individual is able to access their own resources, talents and skills and thus have the ability to overcome life's challenges.
